    Gerry Faubert
    Vice President & Regional Director of U.S. West

    Gerry Faubert, Vice President and U.S. West Regional Director, brings over 36 years of experience to Integral Group. Gerry is one of the pioneers of innovative, energy efficient design and operations in the Buildings Engineering industry in North America. With a degree in Buildings Engineering Science and Technology, he takes practical and holistic approach to addressing clients’ challenges, helping achieve solutions that meet their social, economic, and environmental objectives.

    Gerry has played a vital role in delivering cutting edge integrated design and planning for numerous building projects across all building market sectors. Among the most recent and prominent is the AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top Ten Award in 2015 for the CANMET Materials Technology Laboratory a LEED Platinum laboratory.

    A frequent spokesperson and advocate for health, well-being and sustainability, Gerry has lectured at conferences across North America. He is a former member of the Toronto Waterfront Design Review panel. The revitalization of Toronto’s waterfront is the largest urban development project underway in North America comprising of over 800 hectares of redevelopment and the site of the 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games Athletes Village.

    Brian Griffith
    Principal, Seattle, WA

    Brian recently joined Integral Group with over 25 years of experience in the design and construction industry, 18 years in HVAC and Plumbing design, and 10 years exclusively in Sustainable Design Brian is responsible for developing sustainable strategies for a variety of projects, coordinating energy and other modeling efforts such as daylighting analysis, comfort analysis using CFD, renewable energy availability, shading studies, etc. Additionally, Brian has experience providing education on systems and strategies including radiant heated and chilled ceilings and floors, chilled beams, ground source heat pumps, phase change materials, natural ventilation, heat recovery chillers and others.

  • John-Weale-Integral-Group
    John Weale
    Principal, Seattle, WA

    John Weale has been involved as a lead designer or key technical adviser on Integral Group’s highly sustainable projects, including six LEED Platinum Certified, three net zero and one Living Building Challenge project. In the green building sector, John specializes in cost effective mechanical systems that provide the efficiency needed to earn most, if not all, of the LEED Energy Efficiency points (EAc1). An integrated approach with close team coordination makes building architecture, lighting and mechanical system work together as single system is key in creating simple, high efficiency and low cost systems.

    In the high technology sector, John has designed many high-efficiency systems for technology companies, laboratory buildings, museums and manufacturing buildings with specialized cooling, ventilation, exhaust and pressurization control requirements. He is a specialist in: passive design; central plants, including modular central plants utilizing absorption (waste heat driven) and electrical chillers; optimizing exhaust air energy recovery (run around coils, flat plate heat exchangers, enthalpy wheels and heat pipes); optimizing fan systems; efficient development of robust control sequences; and controls commissioning.
