Doug KerrManaging Director, United Kingdom
Doug is the Managing Director of Elementa Consulting, a member of Integral Group, and is also responsible at Board level for health and safety, the electrical discipline within Elementa, financial management, new client development and expansion into new market sectors. Doug is the director responsible for healthcare and is pro-active in ensuring the firm performs to very high standards and delivers technically sound solutions on time and to budget.
With extensive experience in a number of sectors, including education, business parks, retail, healthcare, social housing, urban regeneration, offices, the MOD and shopping centers, he is also qualified in the cost management of building engineering services.
A real team player, Doug’s attention to detail and client focus mean he is very much a “hands on” project director, highly experienced in running multidisciplinary projects. He implements best practice techniques and seeks to raise technical and quality standards, particularly in respect of Quality Assurance and CDM.
Pete HenderPrincipal, Oxford, UK
Pete has gained over 29 years’ experience in engineering consultancy and asset management, both in the UK and internationally, with a career progression from trainee to his current position of Principal for Building Services giving him valuable insight into the industry at all levels.
Pete has worked for some of the world’s leading professional services companies, which provide services to transform the built environment and restore the natural environment and in doing so, he has led the MEP strategy/design and worked with renowned architects on projects at all scales. As an engineering manager and team leader, Pete continually strives to ensure that the impact that he and his team on both the built and natural environments, people and communities is always a positive one with sustainable principles being integral to all that he does.
Pete has joined Elementa from an international consultancy, during which he recently spent 3 years based in their Dubai office and has gained first hand valuable experience of project requirements specific and unique to the region.
Graham MargettsPrincipal, Oxford, UK
Graham has spent over 30 years as a building services engineer and is a registered CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant. He is an experienced mechanical engineer and has complemented this with extensive knowledge of healthcare building services, healthcare legislation and specifications. Graham is a highly respected team player who has a great deal of experience running multidisciplinary teams. His strengths lie in hands-on project management; commercial awareness, client focus and in his commitment to successful project delivery.
Carl McKenzieManaging Principal, Oxford, UK
Carl is a highly skilled engineer with outstanding sustainable knowledge and extensive experience of delivering ‘high end’ engineering/technology’ projects within the UK, Middle East and India. Carl is the Managing Principal of Elementa’s Oxford office, responsible for office operation, client relationship liaison, strategic planning and detailed development of complex built environment schemes. Carl’s vast years’ experience within project management and delivery set him as a strong, effective communicator and proactive leader, guiding our team to provide successful large scale projects.
Carl has several significant professional achievements which include Committee Member for Institute Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management, membership to the Healthcare Group Committee for CIBSE (UK) and being chairman for CIBSE UAE. Carl has also won three national (UK) professional institution awards and has written and published twelve technical papers in professional journals. He also has considerable experience as a regular key note speaker at industry events and has presented papers at several UK and Middle East conferences.
