Integral Group Celebrates International Women’s Day 2021

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality. The first International Women’s Day occurred in 1911, supported by over one million people. Today, Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality. IWD is not a country, group, or organization specific.  It is a truly global celebration. The 2021 theme for International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge.

Integral Group takes the opportunity each year on International Women’s Day to take stock of our progress towards our 2030 target of gender parity, refocus our strategy and celebrate our progress. 2020 was a challenging year, but despite the difficulties, we still have reason to celebrate.

We are proud of the wealth of female talent we have attracted and continue to nurture. Women of Integral continue to represent our firm as thought leaders, shape our most important policies, and accelerate the deep green work we are doing across the globe.

Our overall gender distribution and our technical staff gender distribution both increased year on year, but we recognize that the rate at which we are making an internal change needs to increase if we are to hit our 2030 targets. In 2021, we continue to focus on improving our gender representation in leadership, particularly at the associate and principal levels, the statistics for which show a reduction in the numbers of women holding these titles.

We can however celebrate that we saw an increase in representation at the managing principal level as we announced the promotion of Rachel Lieberman in Toronto. We choose to focus on retaining and supporting the growth and development of women throughout their careers at the firm.
