Introba provided mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, fire engineering, and sustainability services for the Shepparton Art Museum in Shepparton, VIC, Australia.

Working with architects Denton Corker Marshall, Introba (formerly Integral Group) delivered the new Shepparton Art Museum (SAM), giving the community and visitors greater access to see exhibitions and providing a new home for Shepparton’s Information Centre, the Gallery Kaiela.

The City of Shepparton is a diverse community with a strong indigenous heritage and culture. Shepparton Art Museum now holds one of the most notable indigenous collections in regional Victorian museums through an offer of a significant donation.

Completed in 2021, SAM delivers a brand-new multi-level facility of 5,300 m² on the edge of Victoria Park Lake in Shepparton. This new landmark building also houses expanding collections and provides flexible gallery areas. The building is an environmentally sustainable facility, engaging diverse communities and visitors and offering the region cultural experiences and educational opportunities.

The design team was conscious of the unique requirements of this museum, including environmental control, security, and fire protection of precious artifacts and displays.
