George Mason University | Horizon Hall

GMU Horizon Hall

Horizon Hall is the largest university classroom building for George Mason University, designed to support Mason’s Strategic Plan to deliver a transformative learning experience that is experiential, global, and technology-rich. In line with that goal, the new Horizon Hall includes the Mason Innovation Exchange (the M.I.X.). In this interdisciplinary center, inventors, artisans, and entrepreneurs can create, exchange ideas and find support to nurture the creation of new products and/or companies.

Along with Perkins&Will, Integral Group increased the M.I.X. from a 1,500 ft² Phase I location to approximately 10,000 ft² in Phase 2, with a targeted goal being an approximately 25,750 ft² facility with expanded capabilities in Horizon Hall. The site for this center, highly visible in the heart of campus, highlights George Mason’s Commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development in the Commonwealth.
