477-Pitt

Located in the Haymarket precinct of Sydney’s Central Business District, 477 Pitt Street is an A-grade office tower with thirty-two levels.

With a staged redevelopment of the site, Introba (formerly Integral Group) initially designed thirteen floors to be striking, different, yet aesthetically pleasing, followed by a welcoming lobby refurbishment that would attract more corporate tenants.

Given only 2 months to design building services for 13 floors, the tight turnaround didn’t quash the creativity of the project team. The solution was a unique, contemporary design, which included leaving the services exposed within the ceiling space. Using pre-insulated ductwork gave the fit-out an interesting and innovative finish. The lobby’s double-height ceiling design has allowed for a futuristic interior design, including a feature state-of-the-art floor to ceiling screen. The forward-thinking design is a stark contrast for the heritage-listed AGL building. Not currently in use, the goal is to repurpose and transform the space into an open collaborative meeting room.

The staged redevelopment of the building has enabled maximum occupancy and income for the building while facilitating a world-class repurposing of this commercial asset with highly efficient building services and premium appointments. Introba provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services for this project.
