Spring @ 8th / NCR Becomes First LEED Platinum Certified Core & Shell Project in Georgia
Phase 1 of the Spring @ 8th project, the new corporate headquarters for NCR, has just achieved LEED Platinum Certification. The project is the first Certified Core & Shell project in Georgia to achieve this distinction.
This remarkable project achieves 60% base building potable water reduction through ground- and rainwater capture, treatment and re-use. Energy consumption is reduced 50% compared to traditional buildings, in part, through high-performance glazing, an efficient chilled water plant, dedicated outdoor air systems for energy recovery and dehumidification, and low-energy lighting design. A ~160kW solar PV array is predicted to generate 250,000 kWh of renewable power annually.
We are proud to have worked on this remarkable project alongside Cousins Properties and the design team!
