ONE OF A KIND PAN AM VELODROME HOSTS FIRST TEST EVENT

The recently completed $56 million Pan Am Velodrome in Milton, Ontario is the only one of its kind in Canada. The indoor cycling facility was designed to host the Pan American games scheduled for this summer and will be getting a test run at this week’s Canadian track championships. Canadian track cyclists will have access to train at home for the first time since 1989, when the steep wooden oval at the Montreal Velodrome was ripped out.

The Pan Am Velodrome has an oval, 250 metre timber track with two 42 degree banks and has been built as a legacy community recreational centre. It contains three multi-use courts, a training lab, a fitness center, a café/lounge and a retail bike shop. The site is also designed to host basketball, volleyball, tennis and other activities for athletes and the community at large.

Integral Group’s Toronto team is providing commissioning services to this spectacular project.
