(Vancouver, BC, April 2019) Calgary-based sustainable engineering and consulting firm Mission Green Buildings has joined leading Deep Green Engineering practice Introba (formerly Integral Group). Their combined expertise is poised to meet growing demand for green buildings across Alberta and beyond.

Since Mission Green Buildings (MGB) was established in 2012 they have grown into one of the largest firms in Alberta solely dedicated to green buildings. With the addition of MGB’s team Introba Group’s Alberta presence will grow to over 40 staff, offering expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering, energy modeling, commissioning and sustainability consulting.

Matt Grace, President and founder of MGB, believes that green buildings in the province will face three defining challenges in the years ahead; net zero development, climate change resiliency, and healthy buildings. The depth of Introba’s expertise and leadership across these domains was a major motivating factor behind the move. “Joining Introba means we can work across a far wider range of deep green buildings in Alberta with the world’s best network of green building knowledge behind us.”

Introba’s CEO and Founder Kevin Hydes believes MGB’s highly regarded team will quickly feel at home: “The fit is natural. We share the same mission and values – a drive to deliver sustainable buildings and a commitment to operating as sustainable businesses.”

MGB’s clients will continue to receive the same high level of service to which they have grown accustomed, but now with the added benefit of full access to Introba resources. Looking forward, MGB Principal Andrej Simjanov sees huge potential ahead, “We’re now in a position to deliver a fully integrated consulting service that can accelerate Alberta towards a low-carbon future”

Matt Grace and Andrej Simjanov join Introba as principals. As members of Introba, the MGB team are now part of wider network of over 500 staff located in fifteen offices across Canada, United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
