Insights & Perspectives

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8th to acknowledge women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements. Introba is proud to be a leader and champion of gender equity, and continues to strive for equitable representation in our workforce.

  • Currently, 30% of Introba’s firm-wide staff is female (across all roles).

  • 18% of all Introba’s technical staff is female (excludes support and corporate roles).

  • The industry average for female technical staff at engineering firms is only 5-8%, depending on the region and discipline.

While we are setting a clear path towards gender equity as a firm and within our industry, there is still work to be done, and Introba is committed to a more equitable future. Introba was the first international engineering firm to become a JUST Organization. The JUST Label is a voluntary program and tool that rates an organization’s social justice and equity based on specific and measurable accountability.

Introba is proud to celebrate the strides and improvements made in our industry, and honor the smart, driven, and amazing women who make up such a significant part of our firm’s talent.

About International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (IWD) has been observed since the early 1900’s – a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies. International Women’s Day is a collective day of global celebration and a call for gender parity. No one government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women’s network or media hub is solely responsible for International Women’s Day.
