In Loving Memory of Afroz Awan

It is with great sadness that we share the news of our colleague and friend, Afroz Awan passed away on the 6th of January 2022.

We will remember Afroz’s positivity, intelligence, empathy, and dedication. She was an excellent engineer who consistently delivered high-quality and innovative design solutions. Her engineering legacy is incorporated into buildings across Sydney.

She was loved by all and battled her cancer journey with immense patience and strength.

Our thoughts are with her husband, Raj and baby, Eesa, as well as all her family and friends.

Afroz was a talented and diligent engineer. She will be a loss not only to our firm, but to the greater industry. She will be deeply mourned by her colleagues. Rest in peace, Afroz.  Andrew Mather, Regional Director

Having worked alongside Afroz, I had the opportunity to see her kindness, generosity, skill and leadership firsthand. She was a dedicated mother, loving wife, driven engineer and a wonderful friend, and anyone who knew Afroz would agree. God called home another faithful soul…. I was so stunned and sad to hear about Afroz’s passing. I remembered so well the first day I met Afroz at Umow Lai. She welcomed me with a big smile on her face and spoke with full energy, kindness and gentleness. To support Afroz’s family during this difficult time, Integral Group staff set up a GoFundMe to assist Raj and their baby Eesa. The fund will be left open if anyone wishes to provide a donation, but Afroz’s family have direct access to the funds when they require them.
