Integral Group Opens Office in Edmonton
(Edmonton AB, Canada, July 2019) Leading Deep Green Engineers Integral Group open Edmonton office – strengthening its presence in Alberta.
Integral Group’s decision to open an Edmonton office follows the addition of Calgary-based Mission Green Buildings in late 2018 and is part of a wider strategy to meet the growing demand for high performance green buildings within the province. The office will be led by Managing Principal David Green, an internationally recognized leader in building optimization, commissioning, controls engineering, building services design and project management.
As the newest team to join the group, Edmonton is set to hit the ground running. Formerly part of CDML Consulting, they bring with them an established client base and portfolio of projects in progress whose clients will continue to receive the same exceptional levels of service, with the added benefit of expertise drawn from across the firm’s international network.
Green’s team are already well known in Edmonton and beyond for their skill in guiding clients through the commissioning process and for building trust with project teams. Their approach to project delivery and handover is hands-on and outcomes-based – perfectly aligned to Integral Group’s ethos across the project lifecycle. For Integral Group CEO and Founder Kevin Hydes the sharp focus on building performance is essential to keep delivering on the promise of sustainable MEP engineering. “Delivering on our climate change commitments requires every new building to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and every single building by 2050 – optimizing building performance is essential to hit these goals.”
As Integral Group’s 18th office, the Edmonton team will not only have access to colleagues across Alberta – already providing a full range of mechanical and electrical engineering, energy modeling, commissioning and sustainability consulting services – they are also part of a 800-strong firm with staff across Canada, United States, Europe, and Australia. For Green, Integral Group’s impressive roster of talent around the globe was a key factor in joining, “High-performance buildings depend on high-performance commissioning – but can only reach their potential with a high-performance design developed by an expert engineering team”.
