The consulting industry strives to provide clients with high performance design, yet the reality is that many buildings never achieve their targeted level of functionality or operability. Once the building is completed, their performance is neither measured, nor optimized to validate their design intent. Necessary systematic processes are not being put in place to empower building owners and operators to effectively monitor or maintain their buildings at a high level. Over time, the ability to adjust a building’s functional program in an efficient manner is diminished.
