Workshop Description

Ellie Niakan, Associate Lead of Integral’s Light Studio in Vancouver, will be speaking at Symmetry Lighting about The Impacts of Lighting in Learning Environments. In the seminar, the varied uses of lighting will be discussed as it is no longer just as a visual tool. This will be explored through the dynamic functions of lighting such as its effects on behavior, mood and circadian rhythms. Additionally, Ellie will speak about how lighting settings affect learning environments, the design of which is changing with the new pedagogy theories. Through this session, research will be presented so we can create a plan for prospective needs.
