Clara Bagenal George shares her experience with CIBSE YEPG

The CIBSE Young Energy Performance Group invite you to our first Carbon Bite Night of the season. Three speakers will discuss the GLA updates on carbon factors and their impact on design for new residential developments, followed by discussion and Q&A.

With the move toward Greenhouse Gas Emissions factors that better reflect the current National Electricity Grid, emissions associated with electricity are now almost equal to emissions from gas. Increasingly, to comply with the 35% on site emissions reductions target of the London Plan, the use of electricity on site will provide much lower CO2 emissions, which means that electric heating systems will become more viable. But what will this change mean for new developments, and what are the potential performance impacts of this change?

Our three speakers will draw on their experience in shaping policy and implementing it:

Clara Bagenal George, Consultant, Elementa Consulting and Founder of the London Energy Transformation Initiative
Monica Madrigal, Consultant, Elementa Consulting
Sara Godinho, Sustainability Consultant, XCO2.
