Integral Group is proud to be 2021 Green Building Council of Australia sponsors, and will be represented at TRANSFORM Online by Associate Environmental Design Engineer Clara Bagenal George as a featured speaker:
We all know that upfront carbon is the next thing to tackle in order to achieve Net Zero targets by 2030, but the question is how we do it. This session will focus on assessing and managing embodied carbon in buildings, as well as on the methodology of calculating embodied carbon in building systems and products.
Clara Bagenal George is an associate environmental design engineer at Elementa Consulting (a member of Integral Group) and one of the Mayor’s Design Advocates for Good Growth. Coming from an inter-disciplinary background she works seamlessly between environmental analysis, mechanical engineering, and sustainability fields, and has established herself as one of the industry’s leading experts for sustainability and net-zero design. In 2017 she initiated LETI a voluntary group of built environment professionals to support the transition of the UK’s built environment to net-zero carbon. She is the lead editor for the recent LETI Climate Emergency Design Guide and LETI Embodied Carbon Primer. In 2019, Clara received the ‘Building Performance Engineer of the Year’ award at the CIBSE Building Performance Awards and in 2020 she received the AJ100 Sustainability Champion of the year award.
