Union Lofts

The former Perth Avenue Methodist Church, constructed in 1913, will be refurbished and added onto to create Union Lofts—a boutique loft project with just 40 units. The heritage architecture
will be harmonized with a new modern style for residential units. Integral Group was selected to provide mechanical, electrical, and energy modeling consulting services for this complex but exciting development. A geo-exchange system was confirmed to be the most energy-efficient solution for a 100-year-old building. Each suite will be provided with hybrid heat pumps with integrated energy recovery ventilators. Rainwater harvesting will minimize water use for the entire building.
