All Saints Church

This project involved the extension of a listed church in Woodford Wells to create more space within the church buildings yet sensitively retain the character and overall style of this heritage building. The design team facilitated the creation of a new link structure between the existing church and church hall, providing a light and airy environment and modern structure in contrast with the existing listed architecture.

Further to this, alterations were made to create administrative space in the form of offices above the current church hall. A two-story teaching block was also attached to the hall, providing five teaching classrooms, 100 person auditorium, crèche facilities, and a kitchen.

Integral Group provided full mechanical, electrical, and public health (above and below ground) design services to the extension work at All Saints Church. Additionally, sustainability was at the forefront of the project by using energy-efficient lighting sympathetic to the functions and style of the buildings, natural ventilation throughout, biomass heating, photovoltaics, and rainwater recycling as key features of the design.
