Susan is an experienced water systems engineer, known for her innovative designs of sustainable water concepts and systems, including water efficiency, rainwater catchment, greywater, water re-use and net zero water systems in buildings and on campus-wide community-scale sites. Integral’s focus on net zero energy designs often means Susan is integrating domestic water heating systems with photovoltaics and incorporating super energy saving tankless water heaters.
Susan is adept at working with evolving policy and codes around water efficiency and reuse. As part of Susan’s legacy at Integral Group, she pioneered the use of waterless urinals in commercial office buildings in the Bay Area, working to change the codes along the way. In addition, Susan’s projects include dozens of award-winning, net zero energy and LEED Platinum projects.
