Most Important Building in the World Cuts Ribbon


FlexLab for Low-Energy Integrated Building Systems at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is now officially open. The lab is a giant simulator where it’s possible to swap products and systems in and out and test them. Researchers will be able to replace prototype building systems such as exterior building envelope, windows and shading systems, lights, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), energy control systems, roofs and skylights, as well as interior components such as ceilings and raised floor. Integral Group provided full MEP design of the building, which Integral Group CEO Kevin Hydes calls “the most important building in the world.” Read more.
