Towards a Happy Healthy Workplace – Elementa’s Green Sky Thinking Event

Green Sky Thinking have launched this year’s programme and Elementa have been selected to host an event on 23rd April where we will be exploring “Towards a Happy Healthy Workplace”. The event is generously hosted by Allied World at their stunning new offices on the 18th floor of 20 Fenchurch Street (The Walkie Talkie Building), whose exceptional interiors were designed by Pringle Brandon Perkins + Will with sustainable building services by Elementa Consulting.

On the evening we are bringing together a cross section of speakers in a 20 x 20 format to present their perspectives on creating happy and healthy workplaces. Expect surprising insights from research, design, engineering, sustainability and end-user viewpoints. Topics on the agenda include behaviour change, healthy materials, lighting and mood, why your desk may be killing you, biophilia, putting a price on productivity, the WELL Building Standard and much more. Confirmed speakers include; Edward Garrod – Head of Sustainability for Elementa Consulting and early adopter of the WELL Building Standard, Will Poole-Wilson, Principal at Pringle Brandon Perkins + Will and pioneer of the Ska Rating system – further speakers to be announced. What is Green Sky Thinking?

Green Sky Thinking is a week long, London-wide events programme for built environment and property professionals highlighting innovative practice on how we ‘design in’ sustainability for London.

This year’s themes include Green Infrastructure, Social Sustainability and Intelligent Design. Our event fits perfectly into the Social Sustainability topic which explores :

  • putting people at the forefront of design
  • designing a liveable environment for the long-term
  • if living in a city reduces your standard of health or improves it
